Veterans Assistance Commission Service Officers have been made aware of the need to reach out to veterans about watching out for scam artists. There's a need to be extra aware of scammers related to veterans and their benefit claims process.

In addition to multiple free options and resources made available for veterans to file claims themselves, Illinois has accredited Veteran’s Affairs Service Officers, at VAC locations throughout the state to assist, at NO charge to any veteran.  The Iroquois County VAC is at the Administrative center in Watseka.
