American Legion Post 23 in Watseka welcomes the public to its tribute to all veterans today (Thursday).  An 11 am event is at the Legion Home in Legion Park.

Cissna Park American Legion Post 527 is hosting an appreciation breakfast from 8-11 am.  Veterans and their spouses invited to the free event.

Piper City's Community Historical Society meets at 7 pm today at the Community Building.  A presentation about the "Tomb of the Unknown Soldier" is part of the agenda.  The public is invited.

Kankakee County Veterans Council is hosting a 10:15 program at the County Historical Museum.  The public is welcome.

Manteno, Danville, Herscher, Wilmington, Champaign are also hosting veterans programs.
