Today’s that special day to make sure we all say ‘Thank You’ to a veteran. Veterans Day 2016 finds several area programs being held by American Legions and other military agencies.
Illinois State Police Director Leo Schmitz, on behalf of all the men and women of the State Police, is saying thanks to veterans for their service to our country. The ISP encourages citizens of Illinois to show support this Veterans Day by attending Veterans Day events.
American Legion Post #23 will conduct a service at the Legion Home in Legion Park. It begins at 11 am.

The Village of Oakwood is dedicating two new markers to its war memorial to show appreciation to Veterans. The program begins at 10 am
