A vigil Thursday evening in Pontiac remembered fallen police officer Casey Kohlmeier. The late-Pontiac officer and his canine partner died last year when they were hit by a drunk driver.

Kohlmeier and his police dog were killed when the police cruiser they were in was slammed by a drunk driver while parked along I-55.

It was a year ago last night (Thurs) when the accident happened. A candlelight vigil was held last night at the Pontiac Police Department.
