The family of Dan Jarski has planned a vigil for Saturday in suburban Tinley Park. The Grant Park man’s been missing since September 9. Authorities report he left home and never returned.
Police reported his van was located at Kankakee River State Park two days later. No one has seen or heard from him since.
Jarski’s family has taken up the cause. His sister has created a website to attract information and hopefully leads. The family says it’s not like him to just leave.
There’s been extensive searches by emergency personnel and volunteers.
A candlelight vigil Saturday will be at Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park. The Vigil of Hope is from 5:30 ‘til 8 pm. Daniel Jarski is a native of Tinley Park. He was teacher at Andrew High School until his retirement in 2017.
