Members of the police department, a 9-1-1 Dispatcher and paramedics all stepped up in responding to the 14-year-old in a crisis situation.
The Village Board recognized the officers Monday night.
Dispatcher Jim Hennessey relayed instructions to the 14-year-old's father on how to perform CPR while emergency responders were on their way to the scene. Then, officers Jonathon Boudreau, Travis Garcia, and Dylan Phelps arrived and took action until Bourbonnais paramedics arrived.
