Voters invited to hear the candidates, forums in Iroquois and Kankakee County

In anticipation of the March 15th Primary Election, voters can hear from candidates seeking support. Forums are planned in Kankakee County today (Tuesday) and Wednesday evening in Iroquois County.

The NAACP is hosting a forum at the Kankakee Public Library at 5:30 this afternoon.

Voters can hear from the State's Attorney candidates, Ed Glazur and Emile Capriotti.

Candidates for a Kankakee County Judgeship include Associate Judge Michael Kramer and current State's Attorney Jamie Boyd. All are Republican candidates.

The Iroquois County Republican Women's Club and the Watseka Area and Gilman Chamber of Commerce organizations are hosting a candidates forum Wednesday. The public is invited to the Crescent City Grade School. The program begins just after 6 pm.

Invited candidates include un-contested county office-holders Jim Devine, Lisa Hines and Bill Cheatum...for State's Attorney, Circuit Clerk and Coroner, respectively.

County Board candidates in all four districts will also answer questions.
