KC-CASA is hosting its annual 'Walk a Mile in her Shoes' event today. The County's Center Against Sexual Assault hosts the educational program to bring more awareness about violence against women. The program is set for 11:30 am at the Rec-Center, the former Armory on Indiana Avenue.

Spokesperson Tom Green welcomes everyone, men and women to take part in the mile-long walk.

Shoes are available for those who want to make the walk in women's high-heels. Last few years more than 150 men have participated.
