A major water main break left the City of Watseka with little or no water pressure. Folks woke up this (Wed) morning with ‘very low pressure.” A 12-inch main burst just east of 5th Street, on Route 24. A lengthy spiral crack blew up the sidewalk. 

The City Public Works Department crew was on the job early today. Once repairs are completed, there will be a Boil Order for the entire town.

If your routine is to visit a business or some other venue today, you might want to call ahead; some businesses are closed until repairs are made and water pressure is re-stored.
