An early-morning fire in Watseka has several area fire departments busy battling flames and the extreme cold temperatures.

The fire at Shorty's Bar...in the 200-block of Walnut Street...erupted about 3 am.  A box alarm alerted several responders.  The cold weather has hampered fire equipment and water supplies.  No injuries are reported. 

Onlookers are asked to avoid the area.  Watseka Police and IDOT are providing traffic control.
