The Watseka city administration is providing updated information on flood clean-up. Debris removal will continue Monday 8/3 thru Friday 8/7.

Another reminder – debris removal is for area of town impacted by the flood. Residents NOT impacted by the flood are setting items at the curb for pick-up. Those items will NOT be picked up. Contact City hall if you have questions.

On Tuesday 8/4, a team of experienced damage assessors from the State will visit various neighborhoods to conduct damage assessments. This IS NOT a FEMA team ! FEMA is not in town and anyone representing themselves as a FEMA contractor should be reported to police. Do not allow those people in your house.

Also...for flood victims, make sure you acquire a building permit before making repairs or rebuilding.
