A new alderman was seated in Watseka Thursday night.

J. Darrin Rushbrook is the newest alderman in Watseka. Rushbrook was appointed at special meeting (Thursday). He fills a vacancy created when Rob Hoffman resigned earlier.
Rushbrook serves as Postmaster at the Watseka Post Office.

Mayor John Allhands says it’s his hope that Rushbrook will bring some insight into the effort to improve downtown Watseka.

Rushbrook will serve out the remaining four months of the term. He does plan to seek election in the spring.
