Motorists should be aware the Route 1 and 24 intersection on Watseka's west side is a four-way stop until repairs are made to replace a traffic light. 

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) reports it was an apparent hit & run Sunday night that took out the traffic light.  Watseka Police have been notified and IDOT has submitted an emergency repair order to the district office.  No word on a time-table as to when the repair will be completed.

The east-west and north-south traffic will proceed as a four-way stop.
