41-year-old Justin Fischer of Watseka faces several traffic-related charges after he fled from Hoopeston Police Friday night. Fischer was taken to the Public Safety Building in Danville.  The Vermilion County State's Attorney is reviewing charges.

Hoopeston officers attempted a traffic stop at 9:40 pm at Routes 1 and 9.  Police reported Fischer continued eastbound driving recklessly until he was stopped and taken into custody. Initial charges included aggravated feeling and attempting to elude police, resisting and obstruction, reckless driving, disregarding traffic control devices, driving without lights when required and no valid insurance.
