Watseka man killed in Iroquois County collision

                                          17-year-old charged with DUI

A 59-year-old Watseka man was killed, his six-year-old passenger seriously injured, and a17-year-old facing a DUI charge --- after a two-vehicle collision in rural Crescent City last (Wed) evening.

David Senesac was pronounced dead at the scene. His six-year-old backseat passenger was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana.

The 17-year-old male driver from Watseka, who police said disobeyed a stop sign, and his two passengers were treated for minor injuries at IMH in Watseka. The 17-year-old driver is also facing a charge of DUI.

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police are investigating the crash.

Police reported Senesac was eastbound on 1900 N when the un-identified 17-year-old driver's southbound vehicle disobeyed a stop sign. Senesac's vehicle was hit in the driver's side, the rolled several times in a field. Sensac was ejected.

Emergency personnel responding included Crescent-Iroquois Fire and Ambulance, Martinton EMS, and IMH and Riverside EMS.
