The four Watseka mayoral candidates addressed a crowd at the Iroquois County Women’s Republican Club’s Spring Luncheon Thursday.

John Allhands, John Burch, Mike Marcier, and Carol Nutter (who spoke on behalf of her husband Bill) each got a chance to speak about their platforms for mayor. The topics briefly discussed included improving downtown Watseka, economic development, water rates, flood control, and an open and transparent government.

The four candidates will gather again Monday night for a forum hosted by the Watseka Chamber of Commerce at the Unit 9 building in Watseka. Doors open at 6:30pm with the forum beginning at 7:00pm.
