The Watseka Community Renewal Committee plans to announce which ‘artistic mural’ will be displayed downtown. The Carol Kaufman-produced painting will enhance the city’s historic beauty, decorating a brick wall on a building at 4th and Walnut Streets.
Three mural choices were up for citizens to vote on. The winning choice is to be announced at the Farmers Market downtown Watseka (Saturday morning 7/25).
A future ribbon-cutting at the site is expected prior to the annual Harvest Daze celebration in early October.
