Iroquois County Drivers Services Facility. The new location at 123 W. Walnut Street in Watseka is scheduled to open Tuesday, February 5.

The Previous facility at 1400 E. Walnut Street closed Tuesday. White said in a news release, the lease expired at the old facility and the owners of that site wished to move in a different direction.

White said it was his priority to find a suitable location in Watseka. The new site is a former Casey’s General Store at the corner of Walnut and Second Street. It’s described as 2,500 square feet which is more than 1,000 square feet larger than the previous location.

The new location is undergoing final rehab work in prepping for the move.
