Watseka Police advise citizens to be diligent; vehicle burglaries reported

A rash of vehicle burglaries on East Cherry Street in Watseka has city police alerting the public to be aware and report suspicious activity.

Police Sgt. Jeremy Douglas says in some cases, vehicles were left unlocked by the owners and windows rolled down. Several different items, including a woman's purse, were reported stolen.

Police ask citizens to be a little more of what's going on in their neighborhoods and don't shy away from calling police if they realize something isn't right.
