Watseka Police Chief Jeremy Douglas says a reported stabbing early today (Friday) is under investigation. But the responsible parties involved in the incident are not cooperating with the investigation.
The stabbing allegedly happened in the 400-block of E. Walnut Street at about 3:30 am. Officers responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up, locating a stabbing victim.
The man had been stabbed in the abdomen and was walking to the hospital, Douglas said. Reports indicated the man was to be transferred elsewhere. However, the un-identified man may have left IMH on his own after treatment.
Police reported a second victim had reportedly been struck with a bat in the back and arm.
