Watseka Police on Friday issued an alert about a local Watseka resident receiving what appeared to be a call from Watseka City Hall.  The citizen reported getting a call at 8:15 pm Thursday 8/29.  Having missed the call, the citizen called the local number back only to receive a recorded phone message that they were trying to reach hime regarding utility bills/services.  It appears the Watseka City Hall phone number was spoofed. 

Police are advising citizens that the City is not making phone calls to any citizens regardng utility bills.
