The construction of the new bridge over the Iroquois River at Watseka will find the project closing ALL TRAFFIC overnight on August 1.
The bridge traffic, north of Watseka, is limited to a single-lane, controlled by traffic lights. But as crews prepare to pour concrete for the second span of the project, all traffic will be shut down from 8 pm Monday, August 1 until it reopens at 6 am Tuesday, August 2.
The planned overnight closing is weather permitting. Motorists should plan to use alternate routes.
