Watseka voters say 'Yes' to school referendum

The Unit Nine school district in Watseka will focus on a new school building after an overwhelming successful referendujm Tuesday.  Voters gave a near 80% approval for a measure that'll move the K-12 students into a single building at the Watseka High School site.  A $17-million tax leverage will be coupled with a $50-million grant for the buildng project.  The successful referendum will move the district out of the city flood zone, that's plagued the district for years.
