Watseka woman nabbed in undercover narcotics buy

An undercover narcotics investigation in Watseka led to the arrest of 30-year-old Kristin Kirby. The Watseka woman faces charges of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession and Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Cannabis.

Kirby was released from the Iroquois County Jail under provision of the Illinois SAFE-T Act.

The Watseka Enforcement Team and K-9 Tucker, in cooperation with the State’s Attorney’s Office, served a search warrant (Wednesday) in the 100-block of S. Brown Street. Police conducted an undercover narcotics buy targeting ‘pressed pills’ and Meth. The execution of the warrant led to police recovering cannabis, mushrooms, ‘pressed pills that tested positive for meth and fentanyl. Also recovered were nearly 400 Xanax bars, containers of edibles, cocaine and ecstasy – along with $200 cash.
