The 1993-94 Watseka Warrior basketball team is being honored with the WCHS Athletic Inspiration Award.  Players , coaches, cheerleaders will be introducted between a Varsity Girls game (Warriors vs Danville High) and the Boys' Varsity game vs Cissna Park.  A post-game reception at the Watseka Elks Club will follow.  All are welcome.

The 93-94 Warriors Boys Basketball Team went 28-2 under Coach Richard Reynolds and Mike Boudreau.  The team's effort and work ethic earned Watseka the best record in the school's history.  

The Warriors finished in 1st place in the River Valley Conference at 13-0.  The Warriors also won their division in the Illinois State Classic Tournament, finished first in the Conference Tourney and advanced to the Sweet 16 in the state tournament.  

The post-season run included a Regional Championship at Clifton Central, the Sectional Title at Watseka and then at the ISU Redbird Arena appearance in Super-Sectional play, the Warriors were defeated by the Eureka Hornets, the eventual state runners-up.
