Weather: 3 Tornado touchdowns

Strong winds, heavy downpours produced at least three tornado touchdowns Monday in east-central Illinois.  The NWS reported no damage and no one was injured.  Officials say there were two tornadoes in Champiagn County and another near Paxton in Ford County.  Thunderstorm warnings were issued mid-morning in Champaign and Vermilion County. 

Observers also issued tornado warnings in northwest Indiana ... in Jasper, Newton and White Counties.

Meteorologist Matt Barnes said one of the totnadoes in Champaign County was on the ground in the I-57 median at the Market Street exit.  Another was east of Paxton. 
Barnes said rotation was evident and the tornado was short-lived.Some of the wind gusts reached 61 mph. 

Barnes said the next couple of days, the area will have above-normal temperatures with highs in the low 50s before another system comes in late Thursday into Friday.
