Weekend accidents/arrests...

Cynthia Stua of Ashkum was taken to Riverside Hospital in Kankakee after an accident Sunday in Iroquois County. Sheriff's Police report Stua was southbound on Old U.S Highway 45 at 3000 N Road when she failed to negotiate a curve.  The vehicle came to rest on its roof.

A two-vehicle accident in Milford Saturday sent a woman to Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. Jane Yonke's vehicle was hit by another vehicle driven by Derrick Leppard of Milford.  Iroquois County Sheriff's Police reported Leppard failed to yield at the intersection of Old Main and Route 1 in Milford. After the vehicles collided, Yonke's car hit a utility pole.

32-year-old Derrick Baines of Pembroke is serving four days in the Iroquois County Jail.  He turned himself in Sunday at the jail.  he was wanted on a warrant for Driving while his license was revoked.

Two separate incidents for Watseka Police over the weekend.  37-year-old Jack Eads of Bradley was arrested for possession of cannabis after he was stopped for having an expired vehicle registration. Police also report the arrest Saturday of 32-year-old Anthony Chandler of Hoopeston after polcie were called to a distrubance at a residence on W. Hickory Street.  Chandler was charged with possession of cannabis and resisting an officer.

On Friday, Gilman Police arrested a Mount Prospect man after a report of a problem at a local restaurant. 43-year-old Darren Little was charged with aggravated assault when he allegedly pulled a knife on  a patron and threatned the individual.
