Wet, Heavy Snow expected Friday >

A winter storm Watch goes into effect Friday morning… and stays in effect until late Friday night.

The National Weather Service in Chicago notes that there is still uncertainty with the potential storm due to lingering differences in the storm track and temperatures in the 30s. However, up to six inches of snowfall is possible.

Rain is expected to turn to snow mid morning with the worst travel conditions from 11 in the morning through nine at night. High wind gusts are also expected.

Motorists should be ready for slick conditions and leave plenty of extra time for travel.  Road conditions will change, drivers need to prepare.
