Wet, sloppy weekend brings tornados and earthquake in Illinois

A rainy weekend....as much as four and five inches recorded at Sheldon and Stockland areas in Iroquois County. 2.88 at WGFA, 3.25 at Gilman, 2.5 inches at Buckley.

Flash flooding concerns have backed off. Flooded farm fields will come into play with this week's planting/crop update report.

Tornados reported in west-central Illinois and near Indy. And an earthquake rumbles in southern Illinois.

The NWS reported a tornado touchdown in Carollton around 11:20 Friday night. There was damage to buildings, trees and power poles. No injury was reported.
A twister was reported on the southeast side of Indianapolis. Officials say it traveled about a third of a mile and left ground damage about 40 yards wide.

Seismologists say a magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred Friday night some six miles north of Fairfield. There was no report of damage.
