A North Carolina man was killed (Saturday) when two tractor-trailers collided on I-65 in White County, IN. The northbound lanes were closed for 12 hours. Indiana State Police reported the accident about 7:10 am north of the U.S. 231 exit.
Investigators say a tractor trailer driven by David A. Williamson of North Carolina failed to stop at backed up traffic. Williamson rear-ended another tractor trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other tractor trailer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Cargo from the trailers spilled onto both northbound lanes, closing the road until 7 pm.
