The body of 12-year-old Eder Arroyo was pulled from the Kankakee River near Wilmington Wednesday afternoon. The Joliet boy had been the subject of a search since he went missing Monday evening.

The boy's sister, 13-year-old Abiyail Arroyo, was also a drowning victim in the same incident.

Crews had been searching for Eder Arroyo since Monday. He fell into the water while his family was having a cookout at nearby South Island Park. His sister Abiyail went into the water to try to save him, but both got trapped along the dam wall. Abiyail's body was recovered from the water that night. She was pronounce dead at a Joliet hospital.
