An investigation is underway after a leaning wind turbine collapsed near Paxton last (Thurs) evening. The turbine, which is part of the Pioneer Trail Wind Farm in Ford County came crashing down south of Route 9.

Several people had reported the tower was leaning Wednesday.

No one was injured. Employees of the turbine company (RWE Renewables Americas LLC) informed local emergency responders they had work crews on their way to investigate.
