Firefighters in Iroquois County again responded to a large field fire near Onarga Tuesday afternoon. The high winds fueled the flames, departments from Onarga, Crescent City, Gilman, Milford and Woodland answering the call. Area farmers again dragged discs to help control the flames from spreading.

Fires were also reported near Papineau and St. Anne and then a huge fire near Ogden in Champaign County.

Two additional fires started in Iroquois County following the original fire near Ogden.

A burn ban remains in place in Iroquois County.
