Ponding on roadways and ditches overflowing making for a sloppy commute today. Very heavy rainfall occurred over the listening area this morning. The swollen creeks will be an issue over the weekend. Flood watches are in play .Motorists are urged to drive slowly and cautiously all day long and allow yourself plenty of time. Icy roads will develop this afternoon. 

The dropping temperatures will lead to bridge decks freezing up and those exit ramps will be adding to concern for drivers.
During the afternoon, rain will change to freezing rain and then all snow… heavy snow will add up to several inches in some areas.
