The National Weather Service has extended a Winter Weather Advisory until noon today (Friday, January 12th). Mixed precipitation has changed to all snow across much of our area and one to two inches of snow is possible.

Indiana school districts... North and South Newton and Benton School Corporation and Rensselear Central are closed due to weather conditions.

Roads and sidewalks across much of the region are coated with ice and snow, so travel is hazardous whether you are walking or in a vehicle. The precipitation is expected to diminish and move out of the area by midday.
