Wisconsin men escape serious injury in ATV mishap

Minor injuries reported to three Wisconsin men when they were thrown from an ATV they were riding Saturday in rural St. Anne. The driver, 24-year-old Thomas Ayling, was cited Iroquois County Sheriff's Police for operating an ATV on a public roadway.

Police reported Ayling and his two passengers were treated at Presence St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.

Ayling made a U-turn on County Road 1900 E to retrieve a piece of lost clothing That's when the ATV entered a ditch and rolled. Several area fire departments and EMS staff searched the area looking for one of the men who began walking to get help. Cory Pallen was located near Aroma Park by Kankakee County Sheriff deputies. Ayling and Richard Ruthenburg were treated at the scene.
