An Iroquois County crash Sunday night killed a 54-year-old man. Barry DuFrain of Woodland was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle traffic accident, according to County Coroner Bill Cheatum.

The accident happened just before 10 pm on Illinois Route 49 north of Rankin. The vehicle was southbound when it ran off the road and hit a culvert, the driver then over-correcting and running into a field before it rolled several times and ignited into flames. Rankin and Cissna Park Fire responded to the scene. Illinois State Police investigated.
