The NCAA has initiated the final steps to expand the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments to 76 teams. The expansion is on track to be formalized in the upcoming weeks, with mid-May as the target. The 76-team tournaments would begin next year.

Eleven-time Olympic track and field medalist Allyson Felix announced she is coming out retirement at the age of 40 with an aim to compete at the 2028 Olympic Games in her hometown of Los Angeles. She would be 42 at the time of the Olympics.
