Congrats to Addison Lucht of Cissna Park on being named the First Trust & Savings Bank of Watseka & Clifton Player of the Week! ICYMI: The senior has helped lead her team to a 4-1 record to start the season including a second-place finish at the Timberwolf Tip-Off Tournament. In the 5 games, she totaled 114 points, 17 rebounds, 19 steals, and 12 assists with her top performance being 21 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists in a 56-25 win over Bishop McNamara.

Congrats to Blake Chandler of Central on being named the First Trust & Savings Bank of Watseka & Clifton Player of the Week! ICYMI: The senior was a big contributor to his football team's 9-2 season, and now he has been the leading scorer in each of the 4 Comet basketball games played thus far. Back on Nov. 25, he scored 20 in a win at Cissna Park. This past Tuesday in a close loss at GSW, he still led the Comets in scoring with 19 points. Wednesday in a win over Peotone, Blake went wild-- scoring 31 points, including 5 treys, and 18 made free throws. Finally Friday in a win at Illinois Lutheran, he led his club yet again in scoring with 14 points. Several hours after being awarded Player of the Week, Blake scored his 1,000th career point in Saturday's win over Hoopeston.
