Riverside Donates $12,000+ to Area High School Athletics

To recognize the accomplishments of area high school athletic programs, Riverside Healthcare donated more than $12,000 to 18 high schools across Kankakee, Grundy, Will, and Iroquois counties for their 2025 fall sports seasons. The donations are part of the Scores for Schools program, presented by Riverside Orthopedic Specialists.

“As a community hospital, it's important to us to show our continued commitment to our schools and future leaders,” said Benjamin McLain, Riverside’s Vice President of Operations. “Riverside is proud to honor these remarkable student-athletes and recognize their achievements.”

Schools can earn $25 for every home varsity football touchdown, $20 for every home varsity girls volleyball match won, and for those schools without a football program, $10 for every home varsity boys soccer goal.

“These athletes and their schools have accomplished great things this season, and our team is grateful for the opportunity to support them,” said Dr. Snigdha Kalidindi, a Sports Medicine specialist at Riverside Orthopedic Specialists.
