Stojakovic Enters NBA Draft but Keeps Illinois Return Open

Just a little over a week after announcing his return to Illinois, ESPN reports Andrej Stojakovic has decided to enter his name into the 2026 NBA Draft. However, he is leaving open the option to return to the Fighting Illini by maintaining his college eligibility.

Stojakovic averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Illini this past season and was an All-Region selection during the run to the Final Four. He could simply be testing his draft stock to see what interest NBA teams may actually have as he currently is projected to be a mid-to-late second pick or undrafted. ESPN ranks him as the No. 94 prospect in this year’s draft class in their Top 100.

Stojakovic has until May 27 to decide whether to keep his name in the NBA Draft or withdraw it and return to Illinois.
