A 29-year-old former music teacher at Reed Custer School will spend time in the county hail and have to register as a sex offender. Kevin Macha of Joliet was sentenced on child pornography charges. He pled guilty to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 180 days in the Will County Jail. The court order also states he must register as a sex offender and serve two-years of probation.

During the course of an investigation, investigators seized electronic items from his house. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children were involved in the investigation. Macha was using a social media platform to share child pornography. Macha had been teaching music for grades 5 through high school at Reed Custer School District since August of 2015.
