The Illinois Republican party announced its 2020 state convention will be held in Peoria. The June event at the Peoria Civic Center will be where the party will conduct official business, including ratification of the party’s platform. Illinois Democrats didn’t hold a statewide convention in 2016. It’s unclear if they skip one next year.
