A 16,000 square foot grocery store is ready to open in Aroma Park. Berkot's Super Foods has completed its transformation of the former Cliff's Market. The new grocery store will open May 1 at 8 am.

The village had been without a grocery store since Cliff's Market closed in September 2012.

Berkot's renovated the surrounding location on the southeast side of Aroma Park. New equipment has been in the store. The store is expected to employ 25 to 30 full- and part-time workers. Store hours will be 7 am. to 9 pm seven days per week.

The opening in Aroma Park brings to 15 the number of Berkot's stores. The Watseka store recently re-opened. Other company store locations are in Momence, Manteno, Wilmington, Peotone, Braidwood and Coal City.
