A 7-year-old boy has died as a result of injuries suffered in an accident while riding his bike last weekend in the small town of Rowe, about 5 miles north of Pontiac.

Blake Kenneth Seifers was bicycling just past 4 pm Saturday in the 2100 block of East North Road when he was struck by a car. Livingston County Sheriff Al Lindsey reported the boy was taken to OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac and then flown to Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peoria.

He died of multiple injuries at about 11 am Monday. The Peoria County Coroner's Office was involved in the investigation.
