Police authorities in McLean County say a suspected drunk driver was on the loose after he reportedly eluded police by running into a cornfield near LeRoy Saturday night. 24-year-old Wayne Yeary of Rankin is the guy they’re looking for. Yeary ran into a cornfield when police officers made a traffic stop around 9:30 pm near I-74 and Route 136. Police dogs, along several police agencies assisted in the search.

Yeary faces charges including aggravated DUI, driving on a revoked license, escape, and resisting arrest. Police said he’s also wanted on warrants from neighboring counties. Anyone with information about Yeary’s whereabouts is asked to call McLean County Crime Stoppers at 309-828-1111.
