Flood Risk Continues

The rain may be easing some, but the risk of dangerous flooding continues for many communities in the South and Midwest. Four days of heavy rain have sent floodwaters across a large section of the U.S. and rivers continue to swell. The concern is greatest in Kentucky, where floods have shutdown highways and left at least four dead. More than a foot of rain has fallen in some places since the middle of last week.

Water levels are being monitored on the Iroquois, Kankakee and Vermilion Rivers.  Suag Creek has also climbed out of its banks.
