The Village of Dwight is getting a Pilot Travel Center.

The Dwight Village Board is granting approval for a new business venture. A new Pilot Travel Center will set up shop at the intersection of Route 17 and I-55. The center will include a gas station, restaurant and a Subway facility. Dwight Mayor Jared Anderson said the center is expected to provide 40 to 50 new jobs. The Dwight area could see a significant increase in sales tax. Construction is set to begin in the spring and be completed by July.
