Two semis collide, I-57 shutdown at Paxton

Illinois State Policed reporting southbound Interstate 57 was blocked Tuesday afternoon after two semitrailers crashed south of Paxton. No one was injured. It did however, take some time to clean up the wreckage.
The crash happened about 2.5 miles south of the Illinois 9 exit in Paxton.

It appeared one semi veered out of the right lane and onto the right shoulder, striking the other semi, which was parked on the shoulder. Traffic was being rerouted at the Paxton exit onto U.S. 45. The drivers involved were from California and Florida. One of the operators was cited for improper lane usage.
