Reports of a funnel cloud in the Milford area Monday evening.  Heavy, heavy rain fell from Milford to the Milford area.  Flash flooding alerts were issued by the National Weather Service.  The NWS did not have any severe weather alerts at the time.

Cooling centers are gearing up around Illinois in preparation for this week’s expected excessive heat. According to AccuWeather, this week heat indices could be at or near 100 degrees in many areas of the state. In addition, residents were advised to be aware of the possibility of severe weather, including high winds, possible tornadoes, hail and flash flooding.
